How a trade becomes three

Every edition follows the same four steps, in every city and trade. Only the local details change.

  1. We start with everyone.Every business working in the trade and city that we can find in public listings and review platforms.
  2. We remove the risky.No working phone, too few genuine reviews or a weak rating, and a business is set aside.
  3. We read the record.How many reviews, how recent, years in business, complete details and the checks we could confirm.
  4. We keep three.Our editors choose the three they would call first and write down exactly why.

No. Listing is free and paid placements, where shown, are labelled and never change the order.
